Are engagement photos necessary?
Let’s be honest, engagement photos aren’t necessary. Food at your wedding is necessary but engagement photos are about if you want them. Think of engagement photos as ordering dessert at the end of a nice meal and ask yourself A) do we really need this? and B) do we have the money for this? Some couples simply want to treat themselves to a photoshoot to commemorate this once-in-a-lifetime milestone in their lives with beautiful photos. They’ll share them online or frame and display them at home. Or there are other couples who want professional photos to use them throughout their wedding planning and even at the wedding itself. Take the time to sit down and decide if this is something that you really want and what you’ll be using the photos for.
